Changes to the way you book appointments from 1st April 2026

The 2026/27 GP Contract includes a requirement that patients, identified by the practice as clinically urgent, must be dealt with on the same day. GP practices are now being monitored by NHS England and we have to prioritise same day appointments for those patients that are deemed clinically urgent.
From 1st April, we will be using a triage system for all GP appointment requests. This means that every request will be reviewed by a clinician first, so we can make sure patients that need urgent care are seen as quickly as possible.
You will still be able to contact the surgery in the usual way, but instead of booking directly into a GP appointment, we will ask a few questions about your problem so we can direct you to the most appropriate care.
