Antenatal clinics
Your first midwife appointment and blood tests taken to check for:
- Your rhesus status and blood type
- Anaemia
- Rubella immunity
- HIV and STIs
- Blood pressure
- Urine test to check for:
- Infection
- Protein being present
- Gestational diabetes
- Kidney problems
Cervical smear clinics
Women registered with a GP are invited for cervical screening:
- aged 25 to 49 – every three years
- aged 50 to 64 – every five years
- over 65 – only women who haven’t been screened since age 50 or those who have recently had abnormal tests
Smoking cessation clinics
Well man clinic
Lifestyle, including:
- Diet and exercise
- Weight and height
- Blood Pressure
- Cholesterol
- Urine Test for Diabetes or Kidney infection
Well woman clinic
Lifestyle, including:
- Diet and exercise
- Gynaelogical concerns
- Family planning
- Cervical smears
- Menopause
- General Health including having your urine, weight, cholesterol and blood checked
